In the first quarter of 2025, the navigation and maps app landscape in Colombia showed interesting trends across the top five applications. Data sourced from Sensor Tower provides insights into the performance of these apps on a unified platform.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic started the year strong with weekly downloads hovering around 68K, though a gradual decline was observed, settling at approximately 52K by the end of March. Despite this decline, weekly active users remained robust, fluctuating between 4.4M and 4.9M throughout the quarter.

Google Maps Go experienced a peak in weekly downloads early in January at 33K, followed by a downward trend to about 24K by the end of the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, ranging from 16.1M to 16.8M.

The app Camera Location: Geotag Photos showed a notable increase in weekly downloads during early February, reaching 41K, before falling to 2K by the end of March. Weekly active users similarly peaked at 33K in early February, before decreasing to around 17K.

Google Earth maintained a consistent download rate, with numbers ranging between 8K and 12K. Active user numbers were relatively stable as well, fluctuating between 127K and 167K over the quarter.

Lastly, Transiteca demonstrated a steady number of weekly downloads, starting at 11K in January and ending at 10K in March. Active users showed an upward trend, increasing from 27K to over 42K by the end of March.
